๐ Trade Program Eligibility Requirements
To participate in trade and career programs, students must maintain a minimum B average (or equivalent) and remain in good academic standing.
Why We Require a B Average
This requirement is intentional and supportiveโnot punitive.
Students who maintain a B average have demonstrated the ability to:
stay focused on daily academic responsibilities
manage their time effectively
balance schoolwork, trade training, and personal life
remain accountable for assignments, deadlines, and expectations
Trade programs require responsibility, consistency, and disciplineโskills that are essential not only for career success, but for life beyond school. Maintaining a B average shows that a student is in control of their academic responsibilities while also developing the capacity to participate in additional programs.
This standard helps ensure that students:
do not fall behind academically
learn how to balance academics, skills training, and a healthy social life
build strong habits that carry into adulthood
๐ Academic Support & Continued Eligibility
Students who temporarily fall below the required academic average are not penalized. Instead:
academic support and guidance are provided
progress is monitored
students may return to trade programs once eligibility is restored
Our goal is student growth, accountability, and long-term success.
๐ Dual Academic & Trade Pathway
Eligible students may participate in both:
High School Academics
Trade & Career Training
This dual pathway allows students to:
remain academically engaged
build real-world, practical skills
prepare for graduation, employment, entrepreneurship, or certification pathways
๐ Getting Started
All students begin the process by completing Student Registration.
After registration, our Admissions and Academic Teams work with families to determine:
academic placement
trade eligibility
appropriate pathways for each student
