Programs & Pathways

Nativa Alliance Community School

Nativa Alliance Community School offers a structured academic environment with opportunities for career training and athletic participation. Our programs are designed to support student growth, discipline, accountability, and balance.

All students are expected to prioritize academics while participating in additional programs based on eligibility.

📘 Academic Program (K–12)

All students enrolled at Nativa Alliance Community School participate in the Academic Program and are placed according to grade level.

  • Elementary School (K–5): Foundational learning and academic development

  • Middle School (6–8): Skill building, accountability, and high school preparation

  • High School (9–12): Diploma pathways, credit recovery, accelerated options, and transfer support

Academic participation is required for all students.

🛠️ Career & Trade Programs (High School Only)

Trade and career programs are offered as an academic enhancement, not a replacement.

Trade Eligibility Requirement

To participate in trade programs, students must maintain a minimum B average (or equivalent).

Why a B Average Is Required for Trades

Trade programs require a high level of responsibility, focus, and time management. Students who maintain a B average have demonstrated the ability to:

  • stay on top of academic responsibilities

  • manage multiple commitments

  • balance schoolwork, skill training, and personal life

  • remain accountable for progress

Students who fall below the required average may re-enter trade programs once academic standing is restored.

🏅 Athletic Programs & Sports Participation

Athletic participation is offered as a separate pathway from trades and is focused on teamwork, discipline, physical development, and leadership.

Sports Eligibility Requirement

To participate in school-affiliated sports programs, students must maintain a minimum C average (or equivalent).

Why a C Average Is Required for Sports

Athletics require commitment and discipline, but are designed to support students who may still be developing academically. A C average shows that a student:

  • is meeting basic academic expectations

  • remains eligible to represent the school

  • understands the importance of balancing academics and athletics

Students are expected to continue working toward academic improvement while participating in sports.

🏈 Football Program (School-Affiliated)

Nativa Alliance Community School plans to operate a football team affiliated with the school, providing students with athletic opportunities while maintaining academic accountability.

Key points:

  • The football team is associated with the school, not a replacement for academics

  • Student-athletes must remain academically eligible

  • Academic performance is monitored throughout the season

  • Participation may be paused if academic standards are not met

Athletics are viewed as a privilege, not an entitlement.

📌 Academic Priority Policy

Academics always come first.

  • Academics: Required for all students

  • Trades: Earned through strong academic performance (B average)

  • Sports: Allowed with academic accountability (C average)

Students who fall below eligibility requirements may receive academic support and may return to programs once standards are met.
